Jim Jackson wears several hats at Capitol Area Realty, Inc. He is what the State of Texas calls the designated Realtor. In order to be the Designated Realtor (dr) he must maintain a Broker's license and be an officer in the company. Jim has been a broker for many years and is President of the company.

Jim is also the trainer and mentor for our new agents. Some companies prefer to subcontract out this function and charge the new agents for the service. At Capitol Area we want to give the new agents the best possible chance for success.

Since Jim does not compete with our agents he also reviews the more difficult contracts and resolves conflicts. With more than twenty years of service in the Army Corps of Engineers ( Including over ten years of program management and contract development) and a master's degree in management, Jim tends to get right to the heart of a problem and develop a win-win solution.

Negotiation is also one of Jim's critical functions. Jim maintains his profession engineer's certification and develops tax protests for our clients as a customer service and to keep up with current laws and regulations. Jim's real love is first time buyer training and education. He has written a company manual on the subject and conducts seminars as well as one on one conferences. Jim has also developed training courses on Management of A Real Estate Office and the Effective Use of the Internet. The Capitol Area Realty domain pages were designed and developed by either Jim or his son, Jimmy II (trained by Jim).
